In the late summer of 2023, Mary and Vic purchased the Trimmer House B&B from the former owners, Christi and Jim, who operated the B&B since 2018.
Mary and Vic have spent much of their adult lives in the Finger Lakes area. Vic grew up in a Victorian home on a 35-horse ranch in the rural heart of the Finger Lakes. He used to teach and coach high school football, but now performs as a singer songwriter on his acoustic guitars at numerous venues across western upstate New York.
Mary is currently a medical device engineer at Bausch + Lomb in Rochester. She grew up in a small farm town in Central New York and traveled to the western part of the state to earn a degree in computer science from Rochester Institute of Technology. Now, the gentle, rolling hills and farmland surrounding Penn Yan bring back cherished memories of her childhood.
Mary and Vic have five adult children leading successful lives nearby and in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and California. They also have nine wonderful grandchildren they adore. Their sweet Australian Shepherd dog named “Tig,” stays in the innkeeper’s quarters unless you’d like to meet him. He enjoys visitors to the Trimmer House and would welcome the opportunity to meet you.
The talented chef, Suzy, became part of the Trimmer House team in 2022 bringing with her decades of experience working in the Finger Lakes tourism industry. With her exceptional culinary skills, she crafts a delightful morning meal for our guests, ensuring they feel truly welcomed and appreciated.
